Since they added a fan site forum and were asking fan sites to contact them, I sent the email as instructed. No response. Since I was waffling on whether I really wanted THAT much press, I didn’t re-send. Did they often link to you? If so, where? I’m curious.

I think the primary thing being official does is it allows them to link out to and promote your site on the official SWTOR channels.

Hi there!
Thanks for the kind words about the blog and the podcast. They’ve both been a blast for me.

I do plan to keep posting on any non-SWTOR gaming I get up to at Bible of Dreams (http://www.furlinedteacup.com/bibleofdreams/). FOr right now, that will ost likely just be the World of Warcraft Mists of Pandaria expansion, though I suspect I will get back into GW2 at a later date once their kinks get worked out. And I do hope to pick things back up w/SWTOR when time and my in-game motivation allows.

I don’t recall that our paths ever crossed that much in game (my main is in Republic Mercy Corps, assuming he hasn’t been booted for inactivity, IMC was so deserted by the time I rolled an alt that it wasn’t even possible to get an invite), but I’ve enjoyed the blog. As a multi-game blogger, I am at least somewhat dependent on game-specific podcasts to keep up with games that I follow but don’t play. Usually that is limited to one podcast per game because there is only so much news to go around, but I’ve been making an exception of late by adding TOR Reporter to the rotation along with Darth Hater. So those efforts will be missed as well.

I understand from one of the latest episodes of TOR Reporter that you guys were required to keep your sites single-game in order to qualify as official fansites. That’s a great deal for Bioware because it keeps you from mentioning the competition (especially if/when you get tired of their game) but a crappy deal for the rest of us because now we don’t get to see your stuff anymore. Please post an update if you do decide to start over and write about games that you are actually playing (if any), so we can update our links!
